Dollar General Rolls Out Dolly Parton Housewares Collection

Dollar General is rolling out a multi-category kitchen and housewares collection from music icon Dolly Parton.

Inspired by her rural upbringing in Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains, the kitchen and housewares collection depicts key moments from her early life and career, Dollar General noted.

Already rolling out online and to all 20,000 Dollar General locations across 48 states, the Dolly Parton kitchen and housewares collection features some 50 items affordably priced from $1 to $10 with most items at $5 or less, the company indicated. The Dollar General lineup emerges a year after Lifetime Brands signed a licensing agreement with Dolly Parton that includes cookware, bakeware, cutlery, kitchen tools, barware and tabletop. In a separate agreement, Lodge is licensed to produce and market U.S.-made Dolly Parton cast iron cookware, which is not part of the Dollar General rollout.

“Our shared humble beginnings make this a special program for Dollar General,” said Emily Taylor, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer for the Tennessee-based retailer. “We are thrilled to bring this exclusive collection, curated by one of the most iconic stars in country music, to DG customers.”
