NEW YORK CITY — Train, train — Dolly Parton MetroCards gonna go out in this town.
The MTA is releasing 50,000 limited-edition MetroCards at four Manhattan subway stations to commemorate the release of Dolly Parton's upcoming greatest album, officials announced.
"In the spirit of riders using the transit system and 'working 9 to 5,' MetroCards will be available for purchase as early as Wednesday, Nov. 9 on a first come, first served basis," officials said in an announcement.
But some Dolly fans might be disappointed by the MetroCards.
The cards don't feature Dolly's face — instead, they're emblazoned with her signature and the words "Diamonds & Rhinestones," which is the title of her greatest hits album coming out Nov. 18.
Still, many Dolly fans likely will snatch up the cards, just because they can. They can buy them at vending machines that accept all forms of payment, including credit, debit, and cash at the following stations in Manhattan:
34th Street-Penn Station
34th Street -Herald Square
Grand Central- 42nd Street
