A phenomenal weekend for the Harlem Globetrotters as our friends FIBA and the FIBA Foundation graced us with FIBA Order of Merit. This is not only their highest distinction and/or honor but the Harlem Globetrotters are the first team to receive the award. What an honor! And like I told the crowd of distinguished guests at FIBA HQ in Geneva….
“We are more than a tour, or spinning balls, or trick shots, or dunks, or big stars, or buckets of confetti. We are like you, human! And we like to think that we’ve connected with you all these years because we’ve always aspired to celebrate what it is to be human. 100 years and counting. And we are just getting started!”
We are honored to receive the prestigious @fiba Order of Merit at the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball in Switzerland! As we celebrate our 100th anniversary, this recognition serves as a powerful reminder of the impact we’ve made on the game of basketball and the millions of lives we’ve touched around the world.
