Gold’s Gym Appoints IMG Licensing as Its Exclusive Licensing Agency to Drive Global Brand Expansion

Gold’s Gym, the iconic international chain of fitness centers, has appointed IMG Licensing as its exclusive global licensing agency for consumer products under a new multi-year agreement.

This marks the first time that Gold’s Gym has appointed a licensing agency to expand its presence globally. The partnership aims to capitalize on the brand’s half a century of fitness experience and history to develop a wide new range of innovative products and experiences including nutrition and supplements, footwear, travel products, and sporting and leisure goods, while further expanding its apparel and fashion portfolio.

Founded in Venice, California, in 1965 by Joe Gold, Gold’s Gym became known worldwide as “the Mecca of Bodybuilding.” Over the decades, the brand has evolved into a symbol of exercise, strength, and community with a wide-reaching network of more than 600 gyms across six continents. IMG will look to bring Gold Gym’s distinctive identity and legacy to a new generation of fitness enthusiasts.
