A Court of Splintered Harmony, the sixth book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) series by Sarah J. Maas, comes out on Tuesday, and it has sparked a frenzy in the publishing world. Maas is one of the greatest successes of the BookTok phenomenon, spurring more than 75 million global sales.

What Is A Court of Splintered Harmony?
Despite all the speculation over this new book, Maas hasn’t revealed much about it—early on, she did not even reveal the narrator despite loads of fan speculation. Maas did explain during an appearance on “Call Her Daddy” that this book is “movement one” of the Valkyrie Cycle, which spans multiple books but forms one large narrative.
What Is A Court of Splintered Harmony About?
Koschei the Deathless, who played a big role in A Court of Silver Flames, has his eyes on both Fae and human territories. Unfortunately, Prythian and the Night Court are still split following the war and inside politics that threaten to keep everyone divided.
This will be a dual POV book, a departure from Maas’s earlier works in the series. Additionally, the book will have bonus chapters from some earlier ACOTAR books, making it even more anticipated by fans.

Yes, a number of bookstores, including Barnes & Noble and a slew of independent shops, and retailers, like Target, are holding midnight release parties for A Court of Splintered Harmony.
