Shoe Palace Partners With Van Gogh Museum To Bring His Art To Your Wardrobe

Shoe Palace has partnered with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam for a special collection, in a deal facilitated by Van Gogh Museum’s licensing agency, IMG Licensing. Focused on creativity, unique expression, and cultural impact, the collection launches exclusively at Shoe Palace retail locations and on shoepalace.com this December 13th.

The Shoe Palace x Van Gogh Museum collection is inspired by the importance of mental health, which is an important and relevant topic for both brands. The exclusive pieces in the line use dark and light colors to reflect the highs and lows of the journey and express how the path of mental health is never linear.

Shoe Palace has always had an interest in the communities that support us. Mental Health is having a big impact on the people in our community, especially our youth. Spreading awareness is important to us. This collection gave us the chance to spread awareness via the art of Van Gogh.

“Many of Van Gogh’s pieces reflected his continual struggle with mental health. We really wanted to highlight and emphasize this important subject through the pieces we created and the works of Van Gogh we utilized in the process. One example of this is the color palette we used, as it contains a combination of light and dark colors to show that mental health truly has its ups and downs,” John Mersho, CEO of Shoe Palace.

“Shoe Palace did an amazing job at immersing themselves into van Gogh's art, but also in his life story. They have used their creative talent in translating the art and life story into a collection which is authentic and true to its heritage, yet modern, relevant and resonates with now,” Marijn Veraart, Head of Licensing Van Gogh Museum.

The collection, priced between $29.99 and $79.99 at retail, includes t-shirts, tops, knit fleece, pants and outerwear inspired by Van Gogh’s masterpieces and his use of color and light.

You can find the Shoe Palace x Van Gogh Museum Collection exclusively at Shoe Palace stores and on shoepalace.com this December 13th.
