As the official womenswear licensee of Royal Ascot, it was this iconic British event that inspired LK Bennett’s Chelsea in Bloom floral display – a fitting match to yet another iconic British event.
Working with Ascot-based florist, ForKeeps, at the heart of their design is a replica of the first winner’s post at Royal Ascot, complete with a life-size floral horse sculpture dressed in a winner’s garland and its own race number. Alongside this LK Bennett have the signature finish-line clock, set at 2pm to reflect the time that Her Majesty the Queen arrives at the races – a nod to the Jubilee. Step outside the store, and you’ll find a beautiful flower meadow filled with fresh and dry elements lined with a traditional white picket fence. The meadow continues in the front and back windows growing up and around the mannequins, helping to bring the outside in. Throughout the design you will notice their take on the classic British colour palette with raspberry reds, cornflower blues, and fresh whites to perfectly mirror their collection. LK Bennett have chosen potted plants for sustainability and longevity, as well as fresh roses and delphiniums, and dried limonium, grasses and seed pods, to help give their design a natural, organic feel, almost as if it’s grown in situ.
