B.B King
Known as the “King of Blues”, he served as a cultural icon, embodying the spirit and sounds of the American South. As a musical ambassador, he dedicated his life to popularizing the Blues genre in mainstream culture.
B.B. King received 30 Grammy nominations and 18 wins. He was a recipient of the Presidential Medal of the Arts and an inductee of the Rock & Roll and Blues Foundation Halls of Fame. King died in 2015 at the age of 89, leaving a lasting legacy.
BB King’s Licensing program is intended to allow new and existing BB King fans to celebrate his life through merchandise and advertising licensing initiatives. Current licensing partnerships include Gibson Guitars for branded guitars and accessories, TEAC headphones and turntables, and more than a dozen B.B. King Blues Clubs, some of which are on Holland America Line cruise ships.
